Barracuda AC Unit Cover Quote Form

    1. We make the Barracuda range of AC unit and Hot Water Cylinder covers.  These have been designed in conjunction with AC manufacturers to ensure they meet their specific airflow requirements and NZ environmental conditions.

  • We’re consumers too, so making a cover which is functional, attractive, and durable is important to us.  We found that the budget priced imported covers don’t have the following:

    1. Can’t claim to be NZ Made like a Barracuda is.

    2. Haven’t conducted Airflow engineering to ensure that AC units don’t overheat, like Barracuda have.

    3. Don’t have Adjustable Feet to allow for sloping sufaces (no need for wedges or folded cardboard!) like a Barracuda has.

    4. Don’t meet NZ building code F4AS1 to be safe for use on balconies like a Barracuda does.

    5. Don’t have a 15-year material warranty like a Barracuda does.

    6. Don’t actually hide the AC unit like a Barracuda does.

  • Yes, Prices range from $925 - $1245 for standard sized AC covers and $999-$1500 for Hot Water Cylinder covers.  Custom sizing options are available

  • You can call us directly (0800 228 836) to discuss your project or use the “Get a quote” form available on the website. We aim to respond to you within 1 business day.

  • Standard size/colour units are available ex stock.  Custom manufactured units have a 10 working day lead time from confirmation of order.

  • Yes, we have an Auckland delivery and installation service available.  We deliver to a network of Depots across NZ for a flat fee of $75, or you can collect from our Auckland depot at no cost.

  • You can buy standard units directly from our website (www.barracuda/shop.net.nz) for dispatch or collection the next day.

  • We use coated steel in 5 standard colours (Black, Ironsand, Grey Friars, Karaka, Titania) however we have a range of 17 colours to match the colour scheme/joinery of your home.

  • The units only require unboxing and fitting the lid.  It includes brackets to fix it to your house if you wish.  For this you’d need a drill/driver and #2 square head driver.

  • 10 minutes at best.  You’ll stand there looking at it in admiration for longer than it takes to install.

  • Yes.  All Barracuda AC and Hot water covers have a 15-year material warranty.
